Micro-Greens
During a productive staff meeting, Farm Manager Tony demonstrated how to grow micro-greens. Micro-Greens are tiny, delicate greens that add color, texture and flavor to a variety of foods as a garnish or ingredient. They are a great vegetables to grow in the winter time since they require little care and are easy to grow inside. As shown in the picture above, we planted a handful of mustard seeds in a bin with fresh soil. We then laid a damp paper towel over the seeds and soon enough they started growing. This is a picture of the greens less than a week after planting them.
